Ike's Cafe and Grill Atlanta - African food

On my most recent business trip to the US, the foodista that I am went and indulged in African Food.

Yes, I know from Abidjan to Atlanta and back to Africa?!?

Truth be told, having African delicacies was not on my foodie bucket list (yes I must admit, I had one) but I just could not resist the temptation of tasting the Nigerian suya that my friend had been talking about over and over again.

Ike’s Café and Grill is a restaurant that serves West African dishes as you can see with the little flags in the menu.  It has a warm and nice laid-back atmosphere with an African twist.

Overall, we had a pleasant experience with the staff but were slightly disappointed with the waitress who kept forgetting some of the things we asked her.

My friend, who is a regular there, knew the manager who allowed to take a picture of his Tee, which I found original.

Noooow speaking of THE most important thing: the Foood. It was on point! I had to refrain myself from diving in the beef suya with my fingers. We had it as an appetizer, along with the chicken suya which I found less tasty than the beef.

We had a real feast and best believe it was none of our birthdays.

My friend went back and tried the egusi soup & the pounded yam which is a very popular Nigerian dish and she loved it.
